The Computer Lab was established for the year 1988. with basic model systems( 30). The computer Lab of this Academy is acting as The Regional Police Computer Training Center,(NCRB) since 1991. The Academy imparts training on Computer related courses as approved by Director NCRB, New Delhi to the executive Police Officers of AP and those of Southern States viz., Tamilnadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Orissa, Goa, Pondicherry and Lakshadweep.

The present computer-training center has been upgraded with a cost of Rs.40 lakhs from the MPLADS funds in the year, 2001. Computer Lab was renovated as “ Centre for Digital Literacy” consisting of modern three air conditioned labs (A,B and C ) in the year 2012 . All the labs are fully equipped with latest computers and audio visual aids.

The Academy has a well-equipped computer wing consisting of 3 laboratories with 300 systems with 2 Rack 720 Dell Servers. All Officer Trainees and participants of In-Service courses are imparted training on the use of computers. The Academy has more than 500 P.Cs. with Multi-Media facility. All the faculty members are also provided with Computers in their offices.
The Academy has a campus-wide network with fiber-optics back-bone. All the sections of the Academy are connected through LAN with internet connection through a 6 MBPS broad band. The Academy also provides 24 hours Internet access to Faculty Members, Officers, participants of various In-service Courses. Also available are high-end scanners, CD/DVD writers and laser printers, also has some specialized software like Portrait Building, Crime-Criminal Information System (CCIS) etc. for Police Personnel.
